Java a downloadable program has blocked internet explorer. Help?

My friend has downloaded the program called java its used for games and it has now blocked his internet this is the link he got it from http://www.java.com/en/ his screen appears like a pop up and says that java blocks internet explorer and his pc apparently crashes doing little things he lives in italy i dont know if that would affect but that is as much temporary info i can add also i will check this question at about 3pm 15/07/08
