Why wont my XP Computer not connect to the Ad-hoc Server?

I am trying desperatly to connect my Computer with the new Internetlaptop I did set up. Its connection with my Dads Vista Computer works great, but whatever option I select on my XP Computer, he will connect, but wont get the Internetsignal. Im going Nuts here.
I am not a Noob. I know how to set up a normal Network. But sharing Internet over an Ad-hoc Wireless networt is different.
