Default How to stop Outlook 2003 from downloading emails from Yahoo Mail but...

...still leave a copy on the server? I have windows XP and use Outlook 2003 to retrieve yahoo's pop3 mail for backuping purpose. Because I want to leave a copy of the messages on the server for email checking from work, school and other places, I check that option in Outlook. Thus, send/receive keeps downloading all my emails from Yahoo mail every time it is activated as if it never did it before. How can I download my emails just once for each but still have the "leave a copy of the messages on the server" option activated? Thanks.

I think that can be done only in Yahoo Mail, creating a new folder (with a behavior like Draft, only an example, and saving your download mail in it till you decide to erase the messeges or download in another computer. You need IMAP protocol in order to download the headers only and then to decide if you download the message, mantain a copy in the server, etc...Another possible option is to create a rule, forwarding emails to another account of you. This way, you always have them in the server. But this is the reason (one of them) why IMAP is used.Luck!
