what's the point in hardware warranty?

what would i miss out on if i voided my warranty on a piece of hardware for my PC?

If your computer fails, you will not be able to take it back to your manufacturer without paying a price to let them look at your computer. If the warranty is void, they will charge just to look at a broken computer, even if they can't fix it.
